Professional Biography
Mr. Geddes, an associate at Smith|Hartvigsen PLLC,
practices primarily in local government law and general
business litigation. He assists municipalities and
counties handle a broad range of issues, including
condemnation, annexation, and disconnection matters, as well
as contract disputes and land use issues. Mr. Geddes
also represents clients in matters involving business
litigation, water law, and employment.
Prior to joining Smith|Hartvigsen in 2007, Mr. Geddes worked
as an associate at Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP, in
Kansas City, Missouri. At Spencer Fane, he practiced
primarily in Labor & Employment Law, Education Law, and
litigated Mass Tort Litigation cases. Mr. Geddes
negotiated collective bargaining agreements and successfully
represented management in both single and multi-plaintiff
employment discrimination cases. He successfully
represented clients in matters before the EEOC, NLRB, and in
state and federal court.
